if you look around, this is the area they do a lot of audio. the big crowds everywhere, all different kinds of companies, some very well-known, all day long we are absolutely going to be bringing you the guests, the real entrepreneurial spirit. 1.8 million square feet. a lot of crowds, 3100 exhibitors. we won't know it if it is a record year. 780 wireless companies alone, a huge show, the biggest gathering of technology, entrepreneurs, celebrities of a companies all in the high-tech world which has gotten so big it comes to personal electronics. let's start with the floor show.

last friday was a pretty good multiyear rally. what do you make of what is happening today? >> we start the earnings season after the close with alcoa, stocks are priced to perfection. we don't know what the fourth-quarter earnings will look like, a little less than fabulous. the big pharma stocks have started to act better. usually a place people go and get a little concerned about the market and looking for a safety net. pfizer made a new high today. it has not traded since 2007. pretty interesting.

liz: you know what it is, any day you have languishing stocks, have winners. everybody is waiting on al alco. see the earnings released results read they're supposed to swing back to a profit. the stock is not doing that great, so we are at the cme looking at what is happening. 22 s&p companies have already reported, 22% have, and a good portion of them, 60% have actually beaten, 64% beating expectations, 73% lowered guidance, so does that set the tone for what will happen in the quarter. >> everybody looks for it, they kick off their earnings season. always the first report, not necessarily one of the biggest ones or the smallest.

liz: it appears we have a little bit of a problem but let's go to elliot and we can put up what is happening with the oil. look at the behavior, it is hard to judge what happens today when we know we are getting what is going on as far as inventories are concerned. what is the expectation? >> teddy may be onto something. we are priced to perfection as well. if we find value in everything, there's no reason to trade anything it seems like. you can make a good argument for that, but like we always talk about, waiting for the next big story to get moving. right now it is very quiet. liz: good to see all of you, thank you for joining us on the floor show.

here in las vegas at the consumer electronics show, entrepreneurs, business leaders and celebrities. how about if we got all that bundled into one person in a first on fox business interview, curtis 50 cent jackson. good to see you, let me throw around here, good to see you, thank you for joining us. he was with us last year. a lot of our viewers were really struck by the fact you're very much an entrepreneur. you wanted, you are first just going to endorse an audio company and you thought why not just make my own and have control over it. >> that is right. a lot of times they will license their goodness and start out the way they intended to start out and associated to a high-end audio product. in the tail end of it they get $10 earbuds at the airport because the relationship

dissolved and the company longer has interest in keeping it the way it actually started. this way i can secure i am onlyy associate with high-end quality products. liz: you have control. a lot of people say what would a rapper know about running a business, what is most important thing you have learned in this past year since we spoke at ces? >> in all of my business involvement is being able to find quality people trying to make a good judge of character. there are multiple tasks to be dealt with and physically they have been amazing for me. the company came in and actually executed everything in my vision. liz: what is it like to work with him? i know he is sitting next to you, so what are you going to say, but is he a tough business leader, shooting a video, i am

busy right now? >> one of the great things about this partnership has been that he has made himself available anytime we really need him. he stays involved in the initial phases of what we are developing in terms of what we are doing and come in terms of promotional efforts he is involved on a regular basis. so it is terrific. liz: there is such a gigantic crowd people flip out when they see curtis. let's talk about what you are excited about, think it is an expensive pair of headphones about $400, but this is a wireless headphone, tell me about this. >> this is a marquee product for sms audio. it is a wireless actual headset, 16 bit wireless technology allowing you to be 50 feet away from a single source of music, onboard equalizing system and it

allows for me one of the main characteristics in a product is durability, i have broke so many headsets in the past traveling, it has polyurethane allowing it to be more durable. liz: where they manufacture from? >> they are manufactured in in the factories. liz: we make a decision about hiring for the microscope is on you. they talk about hiring in america, do you think you'll make a plant here in america? >> maybe in the future. the plan right now is to have product on the shelves moving forward, progress. possibly in the future we can actually meet the requirements. liz: you are a businessman have to do what is right for the company.

what does a rapper bring to sound quality? a lot of people who don't understand is somebody yelling words. what specifically about your ear do you bring to headphone opportunity? >> hip-hop music utilizes every other genre. samples materials from country music, classical music, jazz. they are tuned specifically for hip-hop music, offer the best possible sound quality but since you have to listen to the materials and sample it to create what is coming out within the hip-hop culture. i wouldn't say i am targeting the average guy that has interest in good sound quality with these headsets. adam:'s liz: what are you expecting for a sales? >> we're launching over 400 countries worldwide. the overall volume for uni units been exactly on production for

this year and we're looking to triple our business from this year into next year and this year. liz: a lot of people were thinking about the fiscal cliff but sometimes we tend to think everybody is worried about something and maybe talking to you as not the newer and entertainer, how worried are you about that? you look at your finances and tax rate, did it change any decisions you made in your business? >> not really. when you are traveling and doing so much, whistle while you work kind of concept. i enjoy what i do so much i don't mind the process, the new things that are coming. these things are happening, just make the adjustment and move forward. liz: you are an investor, what is your favorite stocks right now, any senator's? >> i am watching the game.

laptop, or tablet. we want to give customers freedom to control their lives, freedom to be in charge of the digital life. liz: some people would say you are leaving your core business of wireless and telephones. what do you say to them? at&t, they'r there are home secy systems that make it smart. >> is a very fair point. at&t is a very integrated company. look at our tv offering. everybody said what are you doing? it has become one of the most famous and well-known and well-respected tv businesses out there. in this particular situation because you will run this wirelessly cometh was synergistic with our broadband assets and reality was wanted to bring something reading the whole industry. liz: is called "digital life."

what will it do? i will come on and talk about if i want to change things in my house, i can control it all from there. >> it is an app on all the different devices. you can do it on any device you want, that will be the window to the digital life allowing you to control the programs to whatever you want to do. liz: this is the guy who made the relationship with the iphone really happen. for years you worked with steve jobs and company to really encompass that at at&t. what did you learn from that experience you believe will make you more successful with digital life? >> anytime you have a phenomenal partner like apple has been to us you have to learn from that partner. what we have learned is we have to go out and be innovative all the time. we have to look at how we create customer expense that has been flawless and simple for a

you make these products but what else? >> this is wireless, portable, you can connect to wireless, some girls can carry a lot and listen to music on the beach or there you go. liz: let me push you on this. how good is the audio quality? you get these things and they are tinea not recall any. >> what you get is 100% sound. this based on the size of the drive you and have a 40 mm or 100 mm and constraining but the digital signal processor -- liz: what can plug into that? >> that is the larger wireless though the wireless -- a nice design. liz: it is huge in, our audio needless to say.

>> i am adam shapiro with your fox business brief, markets trading down at earning season would start after the closing bell when aluminum giant alcoa report fourth quarter results. right now the dow is trading down 55 points. alcoa is expected to report a profit of $0.06 a share on revenue of $5.6 billion. the aluminum giant's performance has been hindered by the struggling global economy which has cut demand for aluminum and depressed prices, lower growth in china and the debt crisis in europe are taking a toll.

two weeks ago moody's warned it might downgrade alcoa which could put the company's credit in junk territory. consumer credit rose for a fourth straight month in november. most of that increase was in on revolving credit which includes auto loans as well as government-backed student loans. revolving credit which includes credit cards climbed by modesty hundred seventeen million dollars. we continue "countdown to the closing bell" with nicole petallides on the floor of the new york stock exchange. nicole: we are taking a look at retailers at actually didn't do too bad during the holiday season. a couple headlines going along with sears, you can see the stock selling off dramatically. you have a changing of the guard, the c e l stepping down, family medical issues, he had to step down. the chairman eddie lambert stepped in to take over that role. the question for the s&p analysts and many investors want to know is whether or not there is turn around ridge involved.

industrials was down 91 points. down give or take 64 and look at the s&p down 6 points but once again fighting back at the moment so we are not quite there yet. but right now as i said we are right here at samsung. everybody is talking about smart phones and wireless, it is television sets that always draw absolutely huge crowds. but before the show began a blog for a live with all sorts of glittery rumors about different ships of televisions and something called -- the bloggers were calling it the 1 changbe. we join that with a fox business interview with samsung america head tim baxter. oh my goodness. talk to me about this. >> this is our introduction of ultra high definition, it gives you four signs of pixels that

benefit a traditional high-definition television so it is a stunning picture quality. liz: day, k. or all from high-definition which means four times as much as compressed damage. >> you have the ability to capture content and there will be an ecosystem for that but what you get immediately, and high-definition content automatically on television to give you that great picture quality. liz: i heard a rumor there was trouble getting this in stores. >> what we are showing here is 110 inch and also an 85 inch corey commercialization in the first half of this year. we are really excited about this and the ability to bring this. liz: what quarters do you have? >> really announced today. demand for big screen television is new in the u.s..

is a big screen market. is really provides you the best of the best. it comes -- what we have done is put the audio speakers on the frame of the design so you get 120 watts of power. liz: absolutely gorgeous but let me push you a little bit here. l. g. beat you guys to the market with the ultra high-definition 55 inch which would be cautious macro scale. what happened there? how do you catch up? are you close to adding that on the shelf? >> it is one of the -- [talking over each other] >> in the u.s. market there is nothing in the marketplace. what it really is about is getting it right. new technology, all proficient, doesn't require that coin. you want to get that light. we are focused on getting it right in the market and it will do quite well.

liz: what is the price point? extraordinarily separate. >> for either of these, doing a number with plasma television first out in theemarket, the 50 inch tv -- liz: the costs tend to go down. the question is what? >> in 2013 both of these new technologies, the best picture quality and screen sizes we are more accustomed to andy auld from high-definition is a bigger thing. what we are doing here, one of the biggest things consumers complain about is a gripping new technology but i bought itt last year so we introduce this evolution that actually upgrades your 2012 tv to 2012 tv and you get the benefit of our 2013 tv including speed to move around,

and also lets you upgrade. liz: here is why -- how annoying is it when you buy something new that is the hot thing and something comes out six months later come apple, a and you have to buy all the new stuff or in new product? so it gets the s&p with all of the upgrades. >> absolutely. couple hundred dollars, i get a beautiful tv on eyewall today, upgraded model user database and processing power. liz: let me question it. are you worried it will cannibalize new television signals when you come out with this? >> eunice significant purchase last year you want to upgrade that. is in you want to take the tv and put it in another room itself again by 2013 tv and give people a comfort level when the aba and try to limit those. liz: how far back does it work?
